Rated 2 out of 5 by from Meh We bought this spa in 2022, its 2025 and the head rests are disintegrating, the waterfall covers are rusting, the face of the control panel has fallen off- and the sticker underneath has peeled away. We always eep the lid down when not in use and its under a covered patio so its not weathered. On the up side, the siding is holding up and the motors still work. Overall for how much we spent for this tub I would expect it would be holding up better

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Functional, versatile, and enjoyable After plenty of research, I selected the TS 8.2 because I liked the lounge and the shoulder jets. I like the versatility of the tub. Each seat provides a different experience. The lounge is my favorite after playing soccer. Reliability has been ok overall. a couple of issues after installation were quickly fixed by the vendor. Design wise, the hot tub is one good looking tub and the new dial control panel is great. I was looking forward to use a dial, nest-thermostat-like panel vs those touch panels that don't work with your wet fingers and I was not disappointed. The WiFi controller and app are terrible to say the least, I hope they get better software developers and better features, but it's not a deal breaker. Energy wise, I'm very surprised by the efficiency of this hot tub. my electric bill barely moved and I have solar panels so I monitor consumption very closely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our first hot tub! This is our first hit tub and we are extremely pleased with it. We bought it locally and we had a great customer service at the store. The hot not only helps with back pain/soreness but is very relaxing. We are very pleased with our purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bait and Switch I attended what was advertised as a hot tub show, but it turned out to be only Master Spas. The salesperson was friendly and persuasive, assuring me the unit I purchased was a saltwater system and offering a discount for the 2024 model—so I signed on the spot. When the hot tub was delivered, none of that was true. The model doesn’t include the promised saltwater system (it hasn’t even been released yet), and I received only a single box of supplies instead of the full year’s worth I was told I’d get. I’ve emailed requesting for additional supplies, but no response. As much as I liked the salesperson, I can’t recommend this company. Save yourself the hassle and buy through Costco instead because you’ll at least have some recourse if things go wrong.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Warranty Been trying for 3weeks to get 2 screws that are supposed to be stainless steel replace because they are rotting and staining my tub. The spa is only 90 since install and the screws are well above the water line, but can’t get it repaired. You make up your mind!!!!

On the 8.2 hot tub, 2025 model, there are exterior lights going around the sides. They stay on during night and turn off during the day. Is there a way to manually turn them off and on when wanted?

Asked by: Brian17
These lights work using a dim light sensor in the front panel of the tub (near the Master Spas logo) there is no manual on off switch other than this sensor. You can however simply unplug these lights if they are not wanted via the black strands connectors you see connecting to your skirting when you remove the main panel as you would for normal maintenance. Contact your dealer or customerservice@masterspas.com if you would like directions on how to do this!

We just received our 2025 TS 8.2. The lights on the panels are nice but the blue is a little too much for us. Is there a way to change the panel lights on the outside? Or if not, just turn them off entirely?

Asked by: pb2025
Sorry to hear you are not enjoying the skirting lighting! No remote access, however, the lighting can simply be unplugged - by taking off the main equipment access panel (located right under your control panel as you remove the panel you will see a lead wire attached to the spa immediately as you pull the panel away from your spa. Follow the lead to where it connects to the wood frame of the spa and simply unplug. If you need any assistance on the location of this plug point call or email into customer service at 1-800-860-7727 or customerservice@masterspas.com

HELLO WE PURCHASED OUR TWILIGHT 8.2 AUGUST 2024 … WE DON’T FEEL LIKE IT IS FILTERING ADEQUATELY ….ANY SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO TELL IF OUR SPA IS FILTERING PROPERLY? THANK YOU

Asked by: JKBRANCH
Try placing your hand in the filter section during a filter cycle or when running jets 1 on low to see if you feel pull - you can try to take the filters out and see how the difference feels. You should feel a little pull but not overly strong. Try rinsing filters out more frequently 1 or 2 times per week, or consider a replacement if older than 6 months. If your filters are clean, you can also try a food dye test to ease your thought: With your filter in and running a cycle you can take a few drops of food coloring and drop into your spa - you can watch how quickly the dye is sucked up into the filter housing and disappears. It should only take a few moments if in or near the housing. You can always call us at customer service at 800-860-7727 to walk you through what you are seeing Mon- Thurs 7-5 EST, Fridays 8-Noon EST.

We have the Twilight 8.2. The valves that switch between the lounger/foot jets and alternate seats are very noisy. It’s hard to hear conversation when in the center seat across from the lounger. Is this normal? It’s my first hottub.

Asked by: MistresSandra
This sounds like your diverter valve- these direct water from one area to another per pump. What is likely happening is something called "air cavitation" and while this is normal - and you will always have a little bit of noise, air is pocketing in the control's plastic cap based on how water is flowing to that pumps current open jets and how loose the diverter cap is. 1. Try inspecting the valve - it's possible it's just a little loose, pop off the top dark cover of the cap like a bottle cap to reveal the diverter clear plastic top. You should see a screw on clear top often with rubber ring in place (to dampen noise) make sure the cap is not screwed loose on the threads or the o- ring is not out of place. You can unscrew and adjust. 2. It is always important to never attempt to turn your diverter while your jets are running - always adjust and then engage your pumps. When your pumps are running, turning the diverter against the several horsepower of the jets can weaken the diverter- a large sign of this is the diverter can get noisier than usual. Don't stress if this is the case - the best fix for this is often screwing off the cap and swapping out the diverter cap and internal piece (easily done from the top) your dealer or customer service can help provide a new diverter by mail. 3. try opening and closing different jets on the seat you have active to see if this changes the noise. After you step through these and, if you still feel something is a miss or you feel you need replacement parts call your dealer or customer service at the factory at 800-860-7727, or customerservice@masterspas.com

We just got our tub delivered Friday 11/1/24. When both pumps are in use, the heating cycle suspends. Is this how the tub was built?

Asked by: Bekah R
When pump 1 is in low speed the heater will continue to run, when in the high speed on pump 1, or pump 2 is activated the heating cycle will pause and resume once they are switched off. This is due to how the spa diverts power and maintains it's efficiency as well as heat protection as pumps create their own friction heat whenever they run.

Is it worth the extra cost for themasr3r pur upgrade?

Asked by: Laura18
Of course we are bias, but we would say so! It mostly depends on your use of the spa and what is important to you as a spa owner. We've found the upgrade is a step towards prolonged life and luster of spas. All our spas both standard and upgraded will come equipped with an ozone generator system to help give a boost to your chemical treatments. Our Master PUR system will provide a UV Ozone instead of the normal 03 dispensing generator. We recommended researching both kinds of generator to weigh the benefits for yourself. In the MasterPur version, your spa will also be plumbed with a small additional circulation pump that will handle any "maintenance tasks" like filtering, heating, and running your ozone. Normally these tasks are given to your first dual speed main therapy pump in a standard version- in placing a smaller pump inside to handle these tasks this cuts back on wear and tear on your strongest therapy pump. You also will have the capability to placing on an additional upgrade of the external cooling pump (a device that cools down the tub) if you wish.

I have to push the light and jet buttons several times to get them to work. Is that normal

Asked by: JeffM
If dealing with a touch screen keypad - due to the screen being in wet environments the sensitivity on our current touchpads carry a water resistance feature - small electric currents in our fingertips carry are needed to denote the difference between your hand and water on the screen. Try to make sure to dry of your hand or wipe the screen with a towel to see if your connection is better. If the intermittence continues, or if you feel you have lost sensitivity over time with this panel this may possibly be a warranty issue to call your dealer or servicer about. If you are dealing with a physical button topside - this is not normal and may also need to be looked into. If you are not sure about warranty coverage or how to get help from a dealer/servicer call 1-800-860-7727.

I'm about to purchase the TS 8.2 but just read reviews saying how the ergonomics on the lounger is not good. These reviews are 4 years old. Has the lounger design changed for the better over the last few years?

Asked by: LtFirefighter
Hi, we have not changed the molding in the acrylic of our lounger in the last four years- but we have changed out jet layouts and jet bodies over the time with customer feedback taken into account.
