Rated 4 out of 5 by from Twilight Series 8.2 an Excellent Choice This is first time I have ever owned a luxury item and I pondered on this purchased for sometime. I am enjoy using it twice a day since it was delivered on the May 3rd this spring. Being this is our first Cowboy 🤠 Hot Tub 🛁 I can't say if it is great or if is poor, but I will give you a review of my thoughts. I gave it four stars and not five stars for this reason, maybe I am picky but when one is paying out this kind of money for a luxury item I think we could expect more from the top Control Panel and that handles every thing supposedly. With today's technology this Top Control Center Touch Screen Panel I think could be better for the TS8.2. a. it is placed in the wrong location on the tub, why do I want panel to be right in front of me when getting in or out of the tub. I don't need kids pressing on THE TOUCH SCREEN when they are getting in or out, bad location b. why on earth do I have to press two buttons just to get to the main screen, this is ridiculously stupid on some engineers design. GET RID OF THESE BUTTONS! c. okay it get it the jets have a built in timer of 15 minutes but for pete sakes show the timer on the screen or give me the ability to add five or ten minutes to the time in the tub, I get the safety factor but for crying aloud I am not stupid I am an adult who can make wise decisions. PLEASE DISPLAY AND SHOW A TIMER! d. every control valve has light that will display underneath it when it dark, that is fine and great but where is the underneath light for the Touch Screen Control Center, why doesn't it get one, You have four choices for different color of light. WHY CAN'T THAT COLOR OF LIGHT YOU CHOOSE BE ALSO DISPLAYED IN THE TOUCH SCREEN DISPLAY, THAT WAY THE CONTOL CENTER TOUCH SCREEN WILL BE LIGHTED AND YOU CAN SEE THE TIMER THEN. I am hoping that it will cost 25 dollars or less a month to operate. I did all my own install from running electric power and wiring and forming up the concrete pad. When I asked about where does the electric power go at in the concrete for the tub to sit above it they gave me measuresments of 43" from the left and 12" from the front. Well those measurements were dead on for the control box inside the tub cavity up high but those are not the numbers one needs when laying schedule 40 pipe to come out of the cement. The cement measurement numbers should have been 32" from the left and 10" from the front with at least 5 tp 6 feet of wire coming out of the cement. Other the Touch Screen Control Center it is a great hot tub. I think I am being reasonable with my thoughts that it could be better .

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor quality parts I bought my Twilight TS 8.2 in October 2019. It was delivered and set up right after Thanksgiving of 2019. I keep my hot tub beneath a roof on a concrete pad. I also purchased the hot tub cover to provide additional protection. I have had 2 pumps replaced and currently have a loud pump 1. I am waiting for it to go out since the hot tub is no longer covered by warranty. I had the control panel replaced in May 2022 ( lasted 2.5 years) and it is failing again in less than 2 years. I was informed by the retailer that I bought the tub from that parts don't come with warranties and that only the hot tub has a warranty. Luckily, up to now all of my parts replacements have been under warranty. However, I have had to pay for the service fees to replace the parts. I clean the tub every 4 months, so it is in excellent condition. I wish I could give Master Spas hot tubs a glowing review, but after replacing 2 motors and 2 control panels in less than 5 years I cannot.

Is it worth the extra cost for themasr3r pur upgrade?

Of course we are bias, but we would say so! It mostly depends on your use of the spa and what is important to you as a spa owner. We've found the upgrade is a step towards prolonged life and luster of spas. All our spas both standard and upgraded will come equipped with an ozone generator system to help give a boost to your chemical treatments. Our Master PUR system will provide a UV Ozone instead of the normal 03 dispensing generator. We recommended researching both kinds of generator to weigh the benefits for yourself. In the MasterPur version, your spa will also be plumbed with a small additional circulation pump that will handle any "maintenance tasks" like filtering, heating, and running your ozone. Normally these tasks are given to your first dual speed main therapy pump in a standard version- in placing a smaller pump inside to handle these tasks this cuts back on wear and tear on your strongest therapy pump. You also will have the capability to placing on an additional upgrade of the external cooling pump (a device that cools down the tub) if you wish.

I have to push the light and jet buttons several times to get them to work. Is that normal

If dealing with a touch screen keypad - due to the screen being in wet environments the sensitivity on our current touchpads carry a water resistance feature - small electric currents in our fingertips carry are needed to denote the difference between your hand and water on the screen. Try to make sure to dry of your hand or wipe the screen with a towel to see if your connection is better. If the intermittence continues, or if you feel you have lost sensitivity over time with this panel this may possibly be a warranty issue to call your dealer or servicer about. If you are dealing with a physical button topside - this is not normal and may also need to be looked into. If you are not sure about warranty coverage or how to get help from a dealer/servicer call 1-800-860-7727.

I'm about to purchase the TS 8.2 but just read reviews saying how the ergonomics on the lounger is not good. These reviews are 4 years old. Has the lounger design changed for the better over the last few years?

Hi, we have not changed the molding in the acrylic of our lounger in the last four years- but we have changed out jet layouts and jet bodies over the time with customer feedback taken into account.

No, the 8.2 will only have one lounger side the Captain's chair on the other side also has calf massage jets however.

I have replaced my display panel twice - over $1,000 out of my pocket in a 4 year old Twighlight. The repair tech said it is poor placement of the panel without a cover so it gets condensation. What is the company doing to fix this?

Thanks for your question, we are constantly striving to work with the manufacturers of parts that we utilize on our spas. Whenever a part it returned for warranty we try to analyze what went wrong and what we can do to improve. I am sorry for your case, however- each case can be different, are a few things that can affect topsides like over exposure caustic chemicals, and the seal of the part allowing water in the face of the part. We have in the past years with the help of Balboa implemented a few improvements to the adhesives of the topside and then in recent months even changed the shape of the current topside to improve the seal of part. I will also say if your topside is changed even outside of a spa warranty by a Master Spa tech it hold's a manufacturer warranty that will cover you for a year as well, Master Spa techs should also do the most to make sure you have the most updated panel available to you- making sure you have the most updated part is very important to alleviating repeat issues. Hot tub TS 8.2 touch screen reads "Performing touch screen calibration. Touch screen to continue."  When you press on the screen nothing happens. Have tried several times turning off the power with no luck. Spa is less than 2 years old. Suggestions?

My spa is constantly heating, even when I reduce the temperature it stills heats to 106. I believe the thermostat has failed. Is this  common for a 3 year old master spa? Is there a wiring diagram or schematic I can use? TS 8.2 model

I have a TS 8.2. My tub is sunk into my deck and has a gazebo built over it.  The gazebo posts sit just 2” off the corners. Limited space.  Regular cover too heavy. Many cover lifters will not fit due to gazebo posts sitting so close. Any ideas?

Hi Ryan! This would be a better question for your dealer. Here at the factory, we only have experience with the covers that we make ourselves. Your dealer might have more suggestions for different kinds of covers that will fit your situation.
