Rated 4 out of 5 by from Broken hot tub delivered, but fixed! I just spent $50K on my porch renovations (including the cost of the hot tub). The tub was delivered and when initially filled, overnight the tub leaked all over my new flooring. The pump seal on the #2 pump was broken. After a couple of weeks, the repair guy fixed it but with much trouble. The tub is not designed for easy access. Excess foam had to be cut away. He said that was sloppy work. Then there is no room to get your hands or tools into the cramped spacing to access the bolts for the pump and motor. This is should be an easy fix. Just design the tub so that when maintenance is required, it will be simple. Before selling a tub, your engineering dept. should be required to conduct all maintenance on a unit to make sure it is ready to be sold. Replacing the pump took about 6 hours. Ridiculous. After that was fixed, I discovered that the faceplate for the control panel was cracked. The repair man is trying to get parts now. With the pump replaced I refilled the tub and was able to use it. I love it!! Great soak, awesome massage for legs and feet! I think I will love it, but the initial set up has taken several months and had to be hurried in the end because of the cold weather coming. The last thing I need is frozen pipes.... So bottom line. I love the tub. It seems like very good quality and your company has stood by all repairs. I understand, stuff happens in transit and things move and break. Fix the ease of maintenance and you get a 5 star review.

I have severe arthritis is my knees and lower back, I use the spa daily (sometimes twice a day) and it has made a big difference in pain levels and mobility. I couldn't be more pleased with the product as well as the support and communication from the dealer, Atlas Spas.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The jury is still out Finding a difficult balance of chemicals with our minimal usage. Chlorine spikes and then PH drops. We increase PH and water goes cloudy. Seems we look at the water right now rather than get it in. Still learning so we hope with practice things will improve. If we had to do again, we would not buy from a company that the closest dealer is hours away.

Is it normal for the water in the waterfall to be cold whenever it starts? No matter the hot tub temp. when the waterfall starts, that water is cold. Is this ok and normal? Isn't there a possibility that whatever water is in that line could freeze??

In the Twilight 240 the waterfall plumbing uses pump 2/jets 2 - pump 2 is not plumbed through the main heater like pump 1 is - so it might be occasional if jets 2/ waterfall is pressed the water will suck in from the main tub water and water that has been sitting in the pipes will of course rush forward first. Don't worry over freezing as long as you've been following your spa maintenance you should be fine! During your spa's filter cycle pump 2 is kicked on for a brief few moments enough to move any sitting pipe water at least once or twice per 24 hours. There are also freeze protection sensors that have programs to move water if they feel a drop within in the heater that will kick on all pumps.

How do I get my waterfall to work?

In the Twilight 240 version of this spa your waterfall is controlled via pump 2 being on and the smaller water feature diverter being open near the control panel of your spa. What are the BASE dimensions for the TS240? Need this information to have a leveling platform built.

You can find the full dimension here on the website in including the flange ( top lip of the spa ) due to the nature of acrylic and skirting, we would advise if precise footprint is required, to wait until you have the spa in your possession. The flange adds approx. 2 inches to each side measurement. (78" on one side at the lip - 76" at the base). We advise if you haven't already to look at the owner's manual here online for base building requirements in prep for your spa. Yes, you can purchase parts via your dealer, or an online dealer for your spa ( masterspaparts.com, masterspapartsonline.com ) - it sounds like you may either need a whole new jet or an o-ring for holding in your jet. Double check you are not within warranty before ordering! Jets have coverage for a certain amount a years after purchase- if you require one within the warranty terms you can call or email into customer service to receive one instead of making a purchase. 800-860-7727 customerservice@masterspas.com

Has anyone been able to figure out a hack that will protect the control panel on the TS240? We are about to replace the panel for a third time and it is no long under warranty.

Sorry to hear you've had to do that- #1 Check when it comes to your part source you are getting the most recent version of your topside, if purchasing through an official Master Spa resource, like a dealer or servicer they should do this automatically for you. We have worked through many changes with Balboa in the last 2 years on the Twilight topside to increase its strength. For instance, the current shape may be different than what you've had on your spa. #2 Always check your spa warranty and or your last service receipt on the part- you may be entitled to have the cost of the part at least covered. #3 The topside will come a small screen protector you can place on the item - leaving it on for as long as possible can help improve it's lifetime. #4 Make sure you are venting your cover 30 minutes after any adding of chemicals or if you are using a floater device to dispense chemicals make sure you are still going out to occasionally vent the cover- the release of sanitizer gas when chemicals are placed in the water can pocket under the cover cooking the controller face as well as any other objects – pillows, diverter knobs, and cover inserts. I have a Twilight (TS 7.2) spa purchased in May 2010. I cannot find filters that will fit the tub. My local dealer has provided ones that screw into place with a threaded connection however they are not compatible. Can you help find the proper filters?
