Great Service, better deal
We went to the fairgrounds for the expo. SEAN WAS GREAT. He found us a hot tub that would be perfect for us. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the tubs and their features. The delivery guys were very professional. They showed great care getting the hot tub into place so we can enjoy it for years to come.

good start up
just had it a few days 06/11/2026 was my start up day no real problems so far .i did have a problem small thou the clip that holds down the cover did break and now i need a new clip
but the start up went good
the other thing i did notice was that the unit was hard to take off the front door/cover and to replace it and that it was dirty inside saw dust and insulation was not clean .and on the door i had to unscrew the siding to get it back in place.

premium price, nit premium performance
the spa is nice but massively, I mean massively underpowered and should be sold for use on colder climates. On a 35 degree day, the spa LOSES about 3 degrees ever half hour with the cover open. This is poor compared to other spas I have owned. it also loses so much heat, even with the cover on it can BARELY maintain temperature. Also, the controls are ridiculous and confusing with tiny symbols that are hard to understand. this spa comes at a premium price but not with premium performance.

High maintenance but enjoyable
Nothing like a good hot soak to sooth aching muscles but it takes too much effort to get to that point. Delivery guys worked hard to set tub right but damaged the front corner. Took many calls and months before parts were replaced to fix it. Followed installer and Master Spas recommended water treatment but still took several weeks, trial and error and even drain and refill to get water to stay clear and not cloudy for more than a few days at a time. One filter doesn't seem to be enough filtration. Cleaning and replacing one filter every week and constantly testing water is a pain but seems necessary. The neck, shoulder massage seat jets poke you in the back of the neck and are very uncomfortable. Poor control options, for example, You can't turn the low jets1 pump off if it requires heat unless you turn the temperature way down and wait. After a couple months, pump no.1 runs loud and makes whistle or rattle noises. Waiting on a service call which we have to pay for despite warranty because we're hours from closest dealer. With all that, it's nice to enjoy the spa, just takes a lot of effort and maintenance to get there, which is disappointing.

Hot tub is great. Delivery not great.
We love the hot tub but the delivery process could have been improved. We built a deck around the hot tub and when the delivery guy came he said that we could put the cover lifter on any side we wanted. He failed to tell us that if we put it on the front cover then it will be a pain in the rear to get the front cover off when we need repairs done. Also, he installed the clips for the cover too low on the panel and now it is almost impossible to clip the front cover into the panel.

Firstly, we love our Precision 8 hot tub. We’ve used it about a dozen times now. I’ve cleaned the filter with the hose twice now and have one ordered to swap out. When we turn on “jets” it pulsates. Wondering if it’s air bound?
It is possible, this sounds like something called "surging" when there is a sudden loss of water like from a sudden drop in water level - air can simply get incorporated in the suction line and cause this. To relieve- take out you filter completely and attempt to run your jets to chase or push the trapped air bubble out - if that doesn't work you can then attempt to relieve an airlock per your manual's instructions. If you still struggle on after these steps it may be something restricting your line - and calling a servicer would be advised.

What filter does it use
The filters currently on a 2023 Clarity Precision 8 model with the standard ECO Pur filter are a X268548 or Pleatco - PMA-R3, and X268532 for the ECO Pur insert. If you are looking for a different model or are using an alternative to Dichlor Chlorine such as Bromine - keep in mind that you may need a different filter. Can new out of the box precision 8 tub be transported in freezing weather. If so is there any safe guards such as RV anti freeze that should be taken.

Anybody else have problem with their skimmer getting stuck and not getting sucked down as its supposed to when pumps are on?Filter is clean, but tight against side when you screw it in,not allowing skimmer to go down on its own.Dealer claims normal.

Yes the jet strength on pump1 the same or stronger as the auxiliary pump 2???
Yes, when pump one is on high speed, they are pushing the same amount of amperage. Though, pump one is connected to more jets, so it will be pushing out less pressure.

Is there a way to increase the filter cycles? I see others have this option. Is there a way to make both pumps cycle while not in use?
You can increase the filtration cycles but this would only be through pump 1. Your pump 2 will start and run for a minute when the filter cycle starts to purge the line. You can see more about this in the "adjusting filtration" section of your manual on page 50.

Our spa will be deilvered soon , debating on what type of cover lifter to buy due to clearance issue. What side (s) of the tub are the cover locks on? on the control panel side or opposite sides? or do we determine that and bolt them on?
Since the Precision 8 is a 94” X 94” spa, the cover can be put on to have the cover locks on either the front and back side of the spa, or the left and right sides. You will be able to choose which orientation you want.
