What an upgrade the LSX 800 is!
We recently purchased a MasterSpas Michael Phelps LSX 800 to replace our older hot tub, and the upgrade has been outstanding. The number of jets, seating design, and 3-pump system are all major improvements. The lighting package adds a great touch, and the lightweight cover makes it much easier to use day-to-day.
Our experience with the local dealer was just as impressive. The sales team helped us find the right fit, worked with us on pricing, and even facilitated a buyback of our old tub. Delivery, installation, and haul-away were seamless. Highly recommend both MasterSpas and their dealer network.

Best Hottub Ever!
We love our MasterSpa! This is our 3rd time purchasing a hottub and this one is our favorite! The jets sooth achy muscles and provide relaxation for a good night sleep.

Master Spa - quality is questionable
Master Spas panel attachment is the poorest design I have seen in a long time
Panels are hard to get on and the cheap clips fall off. The diverters are also made of a very thin cheap plastic and are ready to break easily. This design is poor and low quality and the worst design I have seen

Don’t waste your money
We thought we were getting the best spa money can buy…how wrong we were!! We are very lucky to have a great dealer who exchanged it. Southeast spas in Fl! Highly recommend them! The 800 is really only a 1-2 person spa with all the divertors and because of how it’s plumbed has very little actual pressure, get their clarity series instead!

I’m building a wood deck around my tub. Do I need to provide 3’ access on all sides of the tub or just in the front?
Access around all sides is the most ideal, you can install single access on the main service side if that is what will suit your install as the majority of service will often take place at one side of the spa. However, should you require a service that requires access to other sides your spa may need to be moved before service can take place. Any cost for moving of a spa is not covered by warranty. The LSX 800 is also special among our units in the fact that it has a third pump located in the back corner of the spa. In the case pump three would need service it would not be accessible from the main front panel.

Do all the spa pumps rver turn off completely? Our pump 1 remains operational at a low level. If so hoe do we shut it off?
In a standard our Pump 1 will remain on low to do things like filter and heat but would shut off after. Check to make sure you are not doing either - you should have a heating indicator on your control and be able to set filter cycles based on time. If in your spa you have 24 hour circulation pump (you should see this upgrade on your spa contract or if you upgraded to use a UV ozone accessory) this is made to run all the time -24 hours. If you need help figuring out what is actually in your spa build and how to operate it gather your spa serial number from the minimum fill line sticker in the tub and call us at 1-800-860-7727.

Where does the wire run into the hot tub side, bottom or where running wire to gfi now hot want be delivered till next week I need to know location of entrances of wire from breaker to spa
Your GFCI will be wired into the pack or motherboard of your spa- you can reach out to your dealer or customer service at 800-860-7727 or support@masterspas.com to request a diagram of where you pack is located. On our website under Ideas and Support you can find the area Electrical Requirements (https://www.masterspas.com/hot-tub-electrical-requirements/) in which we recommend the safe area for conduiting up from the concrete if you are intending to hide your cable. Otherwise, your GFCI can go into your cabinet at any side of your spa and be snaked to your pack for hookup - you will need to make a knockout or hole cut in the plastic siding for this access- we normally recommend a corner as the easiest location.

I have a LSX 800. My pump 2 (lounger) will shut off after ~20 mins. I can press The jets button and it will light up (to indicate the pump is on) but no water comes out and I cannot hear the pump. Will work again after an hour or so. Is pump defective?

Based on your information, your pump is overheating and shutting down. The pump won't turn on until it's cooled down. We recommend that you contact the dealer where the spa was purchased. I bought an LSX 800 and wanted to know how thick the concrete slab to support it should be and how deep in the ground. Where do I put the power in and where is the front of the tub facing. (questions my contractor has). Thanks.

The recommended foundation is a concrete pad with a minimum thickness of four inches with steel
